Migrating Group Companies & Post Migration Steps for Payroll Data in Tally.ERP 9

To migrate Group companies:

1. Migrate each member company individually from Tally 7.2 to Tally.ERP 9
2. On successful migration of the companies, re-create the Group company in Tally.ERP 9
   
   

   On successful migration of the Payroll data from Tally 7.2 to Tally.ERP 9, the user has to configure the following settings for the Pay Heads:

   1. Enable the Payroll Statutory Features

   • From Gateway of Tally > Press F11: Features > F3: Statutory Feature
   • Set Yes to Enable Payroll Statutory
   • Set Yes to Set/Alter Payroll Statutory Details

   

   • In the Payroll Statutory screen
   • The user has to enter the Provident Fund Company Code, Company Account Group Code and Company Security Code
   • The user has to enter the Employees State Insurance Company Code, ESI Branch Office and Standard Working Days. By default, 10, 000 is displayed as the eligibility amount for ESI in Eligibility Amount field
   • Press Enter to accept and return to the Statutory & Taxation screen
   • Press Escape to return to Gateway of Tally

   

   2. Select the Pay Heads, Pay Type, Group, Calculation Type and provide Computation Info.

   Non Statutory Pay Heads

   • Select the respective Pay Head Type from the list of Pay Head Types
   • Select the respective Group from the List of Groups for the Pay Head
   • Select the respective Calculation Type from the List of Calculations
   • Select the respective Computation Type from the List of Computation On
   • In the Computation On Specified Formula select the Pay Head from the List of Pay Heads
   • Enter the Effective From date
   • In Slab Type column select Percentage from the List of Slabs
   • Enter the required value in the Value Basis column.

   

   Statutory Pay Heads

   • Select the respective Pay Head Type from the List of Pay Head Types
   • Select the respective Statutory Pay Type from the Employees Statutory Deductions
   • Select the respective Group from the List of Groups for the Pay Head
   • Select the respective Calculation Type from the List of Calculations
   • Select the respective Computation Type from the List of Computation On
   • In the Computation On Specified Formula select the Pay Head from the List of Pay Heads
   • Enter the Effective From date
   • In Slab Type column select Percentage from the List of Slabs
   • Enter the required value in the Value Basis column.
