How should Students be Evaluated

As per my view, to take traditional test is not sufficient for evaluating the students. In traditional test system, teacher takes test annual basis and evaluate the performance of students. I think, it is just evaluation of memory power, but there are lots of other qualities which are ignored under test system. So, today, we are researching better system of evaluation of any student.


1st Tip : Evaluate Overall Performance of Student

As teacher it is your duty to develop lots of qualities in the students. You are not his parent but you are teacher if a student will do mistake, you can give punishment for his mistake. You should make the list what you have to teach to your student. Math, Accounts, science and languages are the part of formal education but your list should be more than these. You can take the sample from following list.

 a) Control on mind for Concentration on study

b) Good Health

 c) Behaviour with Other students

 d) Control on Anger

 e) Level of Positive Attitude

f) Obtained Marks in Papers

I taught a student for six year. Today, I can evaluate his performance with following %.

a) Control on mind = 50%

 b) Good Health = 60%

 c) Good Behaviour with other students = 70%


d) Control on anger = 90%


e) Level of positive thinking = 10%


f) Obtained marks in papers = 60%


Average =50+60+70+10+60 /500 = 250/500 =50%.


Now, I think, I need to do more hard work for increasing my student’s performance. Like this, you can also fix your student’s performance by making list of your target teaching. You should also make evaluation report which should be personal. In this, report, you should also write the real reason behind the barrier of growth of your each student. Following is its demo. 2nd Tip : Evaluate Daily Discussion Basis

As teacher, you should give opportunity to your student to discuss with you and other students. Daily discussion will helpful for both student and teacher. Teacher should ask the question from time to time. The student who will answer, will be better in learning. Teacher should motivate such students to grow in future.

3rd Tip : Control Cheating Scandal

Without controlling cheating, teacher cannot evaluate any student. For this, teacher should become honest. Only honesty in the life can control cheating scandal. If teacher will promote cheating for better school or college result, then this given test of such students will not helpful to evaluate them. In the life, they will not get success. Education is not copy and paste of answers. It is the way which will help to you to stand on your own foot. If the base of students is weak, they will need supports every time. So, teacher should for controlling cheating in test papers. They should find the real reasons of cheating. If the question paper is tough, teacher should teach its answer in simple words. Teacher should grow their mind. He should not become the speaker in the classroom. I think, if students are doing cheating in the classroom, teachers are 100% responsible for this.

 4th Tip : Evaluate Student During Fun Time

Teacher should create the environment of fun. He starts quizzes, games, acting and find the real hero of his education. In this way, evaluation will not affect adversely on the mind of any student.
