My Sessions,Manage Data Sessions & Surrender License from Control Centre


My Sessions


The My Sessions display important information about the remote login session for a user. The session information is displayed on logging in remotely from another computer or not logging out from an earlier session. This information helps the user to analyse sessions that are not required and delete them.  
This screen displays the Name or IP Address of the computer From where the user had logged in, the Start Time for each session, the time when the Last Activity took place along and the Status of an individual session for the respective User ID which is displayed against the Tally.NET ID field.  
In the Control Centre screen
  • Select S: My Sessions and press Enter
The My Sessions screen appears as shown:

F3: SessionWise

Press F3 to view the screen based on the Session Types:
  • Remote User for Remote Company
  • Control Center
  • Support Center

F5: Refresh

The button can be used to update My Sessions screen with latest log ins
F12: Configuration
The following options can be used to configure My Sessions screen:
  • Status
The Status of the user - Active or Idle

The Session Type - Remote User for Remote Company/Control Center/Support Center

  • Group By
This option servers the same purpose as F3: SessionWise - the report will display information by categorising them based on the Session Types

Note: Only one F12: Configure option can be used at a time to configure the report.

D: Delete Session

  • Select the required session.
  • Click D: Delete Session or press Alt+D to delete the session.

Manage Data Sessions



The Manage Data Sessions screen displays important information about remote login data sessions (login by various users into the administrator's remote companies) of  authorised users.
This screen displays the Name or IP Address of the computer using which the user had logged in, the Start Time for each session, the time when the Last Activity took place along and the Status of an individual session for the respective User ID which is displayed against the Tally.NET ID field.
To access the Manage Data Sessions screen,
In Control Centre,select N: Manage Data Sessions and press Enter, or press Alt+N
The Manage Data Sessions screen appears:

F3: Tally.NET ID wise
Press F3 to configure the information based on Tally.NET IDs of the users

F5: Refresh

The button can be used to update My Sessions screen with latest log ins

D: Delete Session
  • Place the cursor on the required session.
  • Click D: Delete Session or press Alt+D to delete the session.


Surrender License from Control Centre

You can surrender the license from the Control Centre under any one of the following circumstances.
  • The computer with Tally.ERP 9 installed has crashed
  • Formatted the Hard Disk without surrendering the license
  • Surrender license offline.
To surrender the license from the Control Centre follow the steps shown:
Go to Gateway of Tally > K: Control Centre
  • Login to the Control Centre using the Email ID of the Account/Site Administrator

  • Select My Tally.NET Account
The My Tally.NET Accounts screen appears
  • Select the required Account ID
The Control Centre screen for the select Account ID appears
  • Select Licensing & Configuration
  • Tab down to the Status column and set the status to Surrendered  for the respective Site ID
The Warning message appears as shown:

  • Press Enter to Surrender the license
On successfully surrendering the license, access the required Tally.ERP 9 folder and delete the license file (Tally.lic). You can now proceed to reactivate the license for the respective site.
