If you credit card and you have used it for online buying or payment of your obtained service, you will get credit card statement on the 10th of every month. In this statement, you will get the information of your month's payments which you have done through your credit card.
Recently, I got my first credit card statement from HDFC whose format is very nice which can be used by other banks also. Following are its main contents.
1.Service Tax Registration Number Detail
On the basis of PAN card no. of customer, bank has to write the detail of STR No. of customer because, customer has to pay the service tax of credit card.
2. Name and Address of Customer
Bank has to make this section for mentioning the correct address and name of customer where customer will get this statement.
3. Payment Due Date
Bank has to show this detail for clear payment due date. In my case, my credit card payment will be deducted from my HDFC saving account on 26/04/2014
4. Minimum Amount Due
This is minimum due which customer has to pay.
5. Total Amount Due
This is total due which customer has to pay.
6. Credit Card Holder's Name
To mention the name of credit card holder is must.
7. Credit Card Number
To show credit card number of customer is must. Customer can confirm with his actual number. If both numbers are different, customer can reject to pay given amount.
8. Transaction Dates, Detail and Amount
In whole month, what payments were done by credit card will be shown in transaction detail.
9. Detail of Available Credit Limit
This is the column of showing available credit limit.
10. Detail of Available Cash Limit
This is the column of showing the detail of available cash limit.
